Sales Associate/Assistant, Retail Sales
Cox Communications is looking for a Bilingual Retail Sales Associate who creates outstanding customer experiences, drives sales, and ensures customers feel special. The role requires evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, and reporting to store leadership.
Responsibilities- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs.
- Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
- Assist with the opening and closing of the store retail environment.
- Properly handle cash transactions.
- Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
- Support fellow sales agents when needed.
- Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings by participating in regular training classes.
- May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area.
Targeted total compensation of $51,726 per year with high earners averaging over $66,753. The base hourly rate is $17.49, plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,279. A ramp period of up to two months is provided to adjust to commission earnings.
Hourly pay range: $15.29 to $22.88 per hour, varying by location and experience. Eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or up to two years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to sell using a consultative, solutions-based approach.
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Mobility within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products.
- Computer literacy with a willingness to learn new communication products and services.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds to manage stock room inventory.
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Some college experience focused on sales, business, and/or management.
- One year of experience in a related field such as sales, retail sales, or service industry.
- Experience selling wireless or mobile products.
