Business Acquisition Specialist

We are looking for an Business Acquisition Specialist to help identify and connect with business owners who may be interested in selling their company.

This is not a traditional sales position. We are looking for someone who is great on the phone, naturally curious, and knows how to get people talking. If you have experience in recruiting, sourcing, phone screening, or interviewing candidates, many of those same skills translate directly to this position.

You'll speak directly with business owners, learn about their companies, understand their goals, and determine whether there may be an opportunity for us to work together.

• Make outbound calls to business owners
• Quickly build rapport and get owners engaged in conversation
• Ask thoughtful questions to learn about the owner and their business
• Understand why an owner may be considering selling
• Ask follow-up questions and dig deeper when something important comes up
• Gather information about the company's operations, employees, customers, and overall business
• Identify and qualify potential acquisition opportunities
• Maintain detailed notes and update our internal tracking system
• Follow up with business owners and maintain relationships over time
• Work closely with our acquisitions team to move qualified opportunities forward

• Strong phone and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly
• Naturally curious and comfortable asking questions
• Ability to think on your feet and carry a conversation
• Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with business owners
• Organized and able to maintain detailed notes and follow-ups
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

Recruiting experience is highly preferred, especially experience involving:

• Candidate sourcing
• Outbound recruiting
• Phone screening
• Interviewing
• Building relationships with candidates

Experience in business development, acquisitions, staffing, executive recruiting, or other phone-heavy positions may also be a good fit.

We're not looking for someone to read from a script and make as many calls as possible.

We're looking for someone who can get a business owner's attention within the first few seconds of a call, make the conversation feel natural, and ask the right questions.

The goal isn't to pressure someone into selling their company. The goal is to start conversations, uncover opportunities, and identify business owners who may be a good fit for an acquisition.

• $60k Salary Pay
