Civmec is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Commissioning Technician to play a key role in delivering world‑class marine and vessel projects. In this hands‑on position, you’ll be at the forefront of bringing complex electrical systems to life—ensuring they are tested, commissioned, and ready for operation to the highest safety and quality standards.

• Commission, inspect, and functionally test electrical systems and equipment onboard vessels
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure operational readiness
• Verify systems comply with design specifications and operational requirements
• Work safely and consistently in line with electrical standards, company procedures, and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate commissioning documentation and records
• Collaborate closely with engineers, supervisors, and project teams to meet key project milestones

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Grade A Electrical licence
• 5+ years’ experience as a Marine Technician (Electrical) or Electrician
• In-depth knowledge of commissioning vessel systems, Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT’s), Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT’s) and the operation and maintenance of marine systems
• Strong fault finding and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations

Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
