Echo Marine Group is an Australian owned and operated company with over 10 years of experience in the Marine Industry. We specialise in the manufacture of luxury superyachts and commercial workboats and maintenance on vessels in the superyacht, workboat and defence areas.
About the PositionDue to the increased workload and new upcoming projects, we are looking for enthusiastic and proactive fitters to join our Engineering Team. If you are looking for full‑time employment and have the necessary skills of a Pipe Fitter or Marine Fitter, this may be the role for you.
Responsibilities- Installation of machinery and piping systems into vessels under construction or during maintenance/refit works.
- Fabrication of piping systems to be installed into vessels.
- Installation of marine power plants, shafting and auxiliary systems (note no engine mechanical work is carried out by Echo Marine).
- Marine fitting experience preferred; related trades such as hydraulic piping installation, sprinkler installers or plumbers also considered.
- Ability to read and understand drawings to construct systems and equipment into vessels under construction or maintenance.
- Pipe fabrication skills, including working with stainless and copper nickel.
- TIG welding skills with thin‑wall tube (1.5mm) experience is an advantage.
- Manual tube bending and flaring of tube up to 32mm in diameter.
- Weekly pay.
- 4 day 38 hr week (Monday Thursday 5:55am to 3:55pm).
- Overtime rates apply outside these times and after 38 hrs completed.
