Install, repair, overhaul and maintain machinery according to plans/blueprints using a variety of trade skills in order to maintain Sunshine Minting’s production capabilities.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty production machinery using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Weld, solder and connect a variety of pipes, including copper, black iron, and PVC.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Follow plans/blueprints to verify material components and specifications of machinery for installation or repair.
• Perform general plant maintenance, including heating and ventilation systems, lighting, plumbing and others as required.
• Test machinery and make any necessary adjustments.
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Perform maintenance on heating and air systems, lighting, and general repairs within the facility.
• Ability to demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to tear down and reassemble machinery according to plans/blueprints.
• Must be able to work within precise limits and standards for accuracy.
• Must be able to stand and bend constantly while perform work.
• Must be able to use hands and arms continuously.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and remain focused at all times.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team; interact appropriately with others.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively and understands basic math.
• Employee must be able to be at work, on time, and ready to work at start of shift each day.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three years related work experience in maintenance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, or kneel. The employee is continuously required to use hands and arms to reach, finger, handle, or feel objects and controls. The employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

As a Maintenance Technician an employee will work in a cool to extremely hot environment, dependent upon project, outdoor work may be performed. There is exposure to fuels, oils, cleaning solvents and fumes from machinery.

Safety glasses must be worn at all times while in the Maintenance area and while working on machinery. The noise level in the work environment varies depending upon project, hearing protection is required. Additional safety equipment may be required.
