Salary Range: $30.00 To $40.00 Hourly

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Locators and Directional Drillers to join our growing underground utility team. The ideal candidate will have experience with horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and utility installation, working alongside crews to safely and efficiently complete projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist with horizontal directional drilling equipment
• Locate and track drill heads using locating systems
• Read and follow bore plans and utility maps
• Maintain proper drill alignment and depth
• Communicate with drill operators and crew members to ensure accurate drilling
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with jobsite setup and cleanup

Requirements

• Previous experience as a locator, directional driller, or HDD crew member
• Knowledge of underground utility installation
• Ability to read bore plans and utility locates
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ditch Witch, Vermeer, or similar HDD equipment
• Experience locating with Digitrak, Subsite, or similar systems
• CDL license
• Construction or utility installation background

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (occasional weekends as needed)
