The Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing requests from customers, ensuring accurate tracking of shipment pick‑ups to final deliveries. The role requires working in a fast‑paced, challenging environment, providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong knowledge of systems and vendor capabilities. The coordinator is integral to the coordination of transportation and operations for DSV Road Transport contractors, company drivers, and customers.
Responsibilities- Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick‑ups and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and internal policies.
- Work closely with team members to meet or exceed customer service requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and company drivers.
- Process transportation requests and utilize transportation software systems for material movement, planning, and scheduling.
- Handle dispatch with contractors, company drivers, and partner carriers.
- Track and trace shipments from pick‑up through delivery, providing accurate information to customers.
- Identify issues, apply critical thinking to determine the best action, and implement solutions.
- Accurately capture data and enter it into the system.
- Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, drivers, carriers, and team members.
- Promote the DSV Road Transport brand.
- Assist with new account start‑ups.
- Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations and compliance.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; logistics or transportation experience preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or a related operational role.
- Experience coordinating domestic shipments and tracking freight through delivery.
- Familiarity with transportation systems or dispatch software and strong data entry skills.
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance, or the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Proficient in typing and PC applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong English language skills;
Spanish is a plus. - Intermediate mathematical skills and the ability to work accurately with numbers and data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.

This position is primarily sedentary and requires extended periods of sitting while working at a computer workstation. The role involves frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating standard office equipment. The employee must be able to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing, to interact with customers, drivers, carriers, and team members via phone, radio, and video conferencing.
Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required. Vision requirements include close vision for reviewing data, screens, and documentation.
This role is performed in a combination of office, dispatch center, terminal, and operations environments within a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting. The work environment includes regular interaction with drivers, dispatch teams, customers, contractors, and partner carriers. The position may involve moderate noise levels due to vehicle traffic, radios, phones, and ongoing operational activity. The role may require occasional presence in or around terminal yards or dock areas, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
