Instructor/Tutor - 21st Century Community Learning Center
The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) is where students discover connections and community. It is where students live, gather, and improve themselves and each other. The TRIO Programs, including 21st Century Community Learning Center, provide academic enrichment support to low‑income, first‑generation students. They serve students from middle school through college, aiming to give equal access to quality education for participants with potential to succeed in college.
The focus of the Instructor/Tutor is to provide instruction and one‑to‑one or group tutorial services to 21st Century Community Learning Center students.
Responsibilities- Assist participants in academic skill building for core curriculum courses, especially rigorous curriculum courses.
- Conduct or secure facilitators for Special Labs, which may include instruction in ACT test prep, STEM exposure and instrumentation, workforce development skills, and family enrichment activities.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with sufficient academic standing to provide tutorial services.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs (student supplies).
- Experience instructing or tutoring students in a K‑12 setting.
Mon – Fri, 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM.
Franklinton, NC or Henderson, NC.
