• Job Summary (List Format):
  Special Education Teacher (2026-27 School Year, Henderson, NC)
• Multiple Openings: Full-time Special Education Teacher roles in middle school (one with exceptional students, three in self-contained classrooms)
• School Year: August 13, 2026 June 3, 2027
• Caseload: 12 students per class (mild to moderate disabilities in self-contained classes)
• Compensation: W-2 pay, $1,875 $ 2,000 per week based on experience; tax-free stipends for travelers
• Location: Henderson, NC (affordable living, outdoor recreation, historic downtown, near Raleigh)
• Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in special education (resource/self-contained/1:1/externalizing behaviors)
  • Experience with IEPs, lesson planning, collaboration with faculty and parents
  • Strong desire to connect with students
• Licensure:
  • NC Exceptional Children:
    General Curriculum license required (reciprocity available for out-of-state licenses)
  • Bachelor s degree from a state-accredited educator preparation program
