We are seeking a dependable, hands-on, and organized Assistant Maintenance Director to support the Maintenance Director in overseeing the daily maintenance, safety, and upkeep of our facility and grounds.

Assist the Maintenance Director with the daily operations of the facility's maintenance department.
Help oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the building, grounds, equipment, and facility systems.
Assist with assigning, prioritizing, and completing maintenance work orders and service requests.
Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs throughout the facility as needed.
Assist with repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
Conduct routine inspections of the facility, equipment, resident rooms, common areas, and grounds.
Identify safety hazards and maintenance concerns and ensure they are addressed promptly.
Assist with preventative maintenance programs and ensure maintenance tasks are completed and documented appropriately.
Help maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, inspections, and other required documentation.
Assist with ensuring the facility remains compliant with applicable safety requirements, codes, regulations, and facility policies.
Assist with fire safety, emergency preparedness, drills, and other safety-related activities.
Help oversee the cleanliness, organization, and safety of maintenance areas, storage areas, and equipment.
Assist with grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, leaf and litter removal, snow/ice or weather-related cleanup, and keeping walkways clear and safe.
Assist with coordinating and monitoring outside vendors and contractors as directed by the Maintenance Director.
Help ensure contractors and vendors follow facility safety procedures while working on-site.
Assist with maintaining an adequate inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
Help monitor the condition and proper use of maintenance equipment.
Assist with emergency maintenance situations and respond to urgent facility needs.
Communicate maintenance concerns and completed work to the Maintenance Director and appropriate facility leadership.
Work collaboratively with nursing, housekeeping, dietary, administration, and other departments to address facility needs.
Provide guidance and assistance to maintenance staff as directed by the Maintenance Director.
Help train and orient maintenance employees on facility procedures and safe equipment use.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or facility leadership.
High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent related work experience.
Previous experience in building maintenance, facility maintenance, construction, or a related field.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
