Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care

Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care

$20,000 Commitment Bonus (2 Years)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (half day on Friday)

Location: Maria Parham Medical Center – Henderson, NC

Summary

The Wound Care RN is responsible for all assigned nursing care activities, including but not limited to wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care. The RN follows all WHC policies and procedures, care protocols and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, as directed by a Registered Nurse or Physician. The RN assists with patient and wound care data conferences and engages in continuing education as determined by the Program Director.

Reports to: Manager or Director of Wound Care

How You'll Contribute
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients served on the assigned unit as described in unit-based competencies, policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to provide bedside patient care, implementing the interventions identified in the plan of care, as directed by the physician.
  • Ensure appropriate patient care documentation.
  • Implement and assure compliance with wound center and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain familiarity with regulatory standards.
  • Report quality of care issues to the clinical manager or Program Director.
  • Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions.

What We're Looking For
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program;
    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
