Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a high-acuity, rural hospital in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ED experience and an NC or compact RN license.

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; verify additional AHA certs per role)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

• Work setting is a fast-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department with 20 beds
• Patient population is varied, including adult and pediatric cases
• Patient ratio is 1:4, with surge ratios up to 1:5
• Preferred experience includes peripheral IV, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI cases
• EMR system is Paragon
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Must work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
• The facility is a Joint Commission accredited Duke LifePoint hospital with the region's largest and most comprehensive ED, including a free-standing ED
• Scrub colors are limited to black, navy, and royal blue
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
