Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Department

Join Maria Parham Health as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical Department. We offer a $20,000 commitment bonus for two years, and our full-time night shift schedule is three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you'll provide exceptional care in the Medical Surgical Department, contributing to a vital mission that makes a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documenting patient care and monitoring patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinating patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Providing patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocating for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participating in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintaining regular and reliable attendance.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

To qualify, you need:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• PALS, ACLS, and Handle with Care Preferred
