Registered Nurse, Oncology

LifePoint Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team providing evidence-based, patient-centered care in a community hospital setting. The RN will assess and monitor oncology patients, safely administer chemotherapy and related treatments, manage symptoms and side effects, and coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, and support staff. Responsibilities include patient and family education, accurate EHR documentation, and promoting safety and quality outcomes.

• Provide direct oncology nursing care, including assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, infusions, and supportive therapies safely and accurately.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, side effects, and self-care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor and manage symptoms, pain, and treatment-related side effects using evidence-based protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Adhere to infection control, medication safety, and quality standards to support optimal outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow clinical best practices and policies.
• Support a mission-driven, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care environment for patients and families.
