JOB SUMMARY

Primary customers are propylene customers that use the product from cutting to heating of facilities. Job requires long hours while remaining DOT compliant. Set schedule, with 2 consecutive days off. Night shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended-stays as needed. The position is primarily regional, but candidates must be able to adjust to changes inschedules as needs arise. Under the supervision of the local Terminal Managerthe Bulk Driver position is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of commercial motor vehicles owned and/or operated by Western International.

Ultimately responsible for the safe and efficient handling of propylene and sometimes acetylene gases to Western International customer locations and production facilities as assigned. This position reports to the Terminal Manager.

Essential Functions

Safe loading and unloading of propylene and acetylene

Practice safe driving techniques on a daily basis while operating Western International vehicles to prevent of work-related accidentsand injuries.

Reporting of all accidents and unsafe acts/conditions (near misses) while performing normal duties.

Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures as well as companyemployment policies and practices. Understand all company standard operating procedures, departmental work instructions, and local work instructions that affect the performance of their duties.

Completion and submission of all required regulatory compliance and company documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsible for accurate and timely communication to appropriate individuals and/or departmentsconcerning matters involving customer service, scheduling delays, customer sitediscrepancies, equipment defects and other relevant issues to the operations ingeneral. Develop a good working knowledge of the XRS/Omnitracs communicationsystem and the fleet advisor software program requirements.

Must obtain and understand scheduling information from dispatchers and planners and adhere to schedule instructions. Communicate scheduling delays and/or unforeseen circumstances that could have an adverse impact on terminal operations.

Maintain aprofessional appearance and consistently demonstrate professional standards when performing duties. Develop good working relationships with all Western International Customers and maintainthese relationships on a consistent basis.

Must report forduty in a readiness to work at assigned time.

Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

Applicants must have a minimum of two years, tractor and semi-trailer experience and the ability to provide verification of experience.
Class Adriver hauling 48’ Maintain a qualified CDL license to operate a tractor andsemi-trailer with hazardous materials, tanker, and air brake endorsements.
Possess avalid CDL to operate a tractor and semi-trailer with Hazardous Materials,Tanker and Air Brake endorsements. Have a minimum of three years, tractor andsemi-trailer experience and the ability to provide verification of experience.
Have apast history of a safe driving record.
