Assistant Professor Of Biology
As assistant professor of biology, this position is responsible for teaching both major and non-major courses, advising, directing undergraduate research, conducting committee work, and other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Biological, Chemical, and Health Sciences. Area of expertise is open.
This position is responsible for:
- Teaching 27 hours, as assigned, annually within the Department of Biological, Chemical, and Health Sciences.
- Serving as the academic advisor for departmental majors.
- Developing and mentoring an undergraduate research team designed to encourage and promote a dynamic undergraduate research experience.
- Serving on university committees as assigned.
- Attending daily Chapel.
- Participating in university recruitment activities.
This job description shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the above duties. This position may temporarily perform other duties assigned to maintain operations and services.
Doctoral degree in Biology or related discipline preferred. Position rank will be based on degree and experience.
