Project Safety Manager - Energy
Reports To: Area Safety Manager
Location: Henderson, Texas
Salary: $95,000 to $125,000
* This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.
The Project Safety Manager supports the Project Teams in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by creating and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, generates weekly Total Case Incident Reports for large projects, leads incident and injury investigations, and assists during weekly toolbox safety meetings.
The individual monitors and audits CEI/Subcontractor compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and project safety requirements.
You are a seasoned, OSHA 30‑certified Safety professional with extensive construction safety experience. You have a strong understanding of electrical industry consensus standards including NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI. You possess strong communication skills, influence behaviors, are a team player, and can work independently when needed. You are excited to contribute to an organization that prioritizes safety.
What You Will GainHands‑on experience co‑facilitating safety trainings and testing, assisting leadership in weekly safety meetings, engaging with field personnel to develop project‑specific plans, and experiencing CEI’s “Safety First” culture.
General Work Environment- Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work conducted in indoor office and outdoor construction sites; environmental conditions vary.
- Occasional work at heights, confined spaces, lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Construction Management, Business, or Engineering preferred. - Licensure/
Certifications:
OSHA 30 Construction required; CPR/FA Certified (Trainer Preferred);
Must obtain BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months. - Experience:
3 to 5 years of construction safety experience (electrical safety experience preferred). - Driving Record:
Valid state‑issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred.
