Get to Know Your Team
  • UT Health Henderson features 41 operational beds, a 24‑hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility with surgical suites, advanced diagnostic technology, a maternity unit, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, wound healing center and an AASM‑accredited sleep center.
Responsibilities
  • Work under the general supervision of the clinical director (MD, DO, or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
  • Provide polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and education.
  • Perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide oversight of other staff.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography.
  • OR
  • Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one‑year duration associated with a state‑licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility of equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred

Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a Polysomnographic Technician with documented proficiency in all required competencies.
