Position Summary
Front End Coach
Responsibilities- Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, and coaching during store tours.
- Provide feedback and guidance to associates, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
- Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction.
- Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and business solutions, and communicating business objectives to teams.
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards following the One Best Way (OBW) model, managing customer service initiatives and community outreach programs.
- Resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues, develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies, and lead process improvement initiatives for a high-quality customer experience.
- Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit & loss statements, managing budgeting and forecasting, and controlling expenses to ensure alignment with sales.
- Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Supervise and develop hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and celebrating recognition.
- Coordinate job-related activities, maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and support plans to meet customer and business needs.
- Establish goals and objectives, measure progress, identify improvement opportunities, and demonstrate adaptability while promoting a culture of belonging.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, support company mission, values, and ethical standards, and implement related action plans using the Open Door policy.
- Build high-performing teams, embrace cultural and idea diversity, and create a workplace where associates feel supported and connected.
- Attract and retain high-quality talent, empower associates, and recognize contributions.
- Act with integrity, maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance, and supporting the company’s regenerative goals.
- Serve customers and members, deliver results, adapt to customer shopping behavior, and apply the EDLP and EDLC models to all plans.
- Make data-driven decisions, balance short- and long-term priorities, and consider stakeholders across the business.
- Strive for excellence by learning, taking calculated risks, embracing new technologies, and supporting others through change.
- Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. - For firearms-selling facilities: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities selling only ammunition with state requirements: a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Experience supervising associates in a retail environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 – $80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), Complex Structure, and State Pay Differential where applicable.
