Family Advocate Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule and conduct quarterly Family Engagement activities collaborating with teaching staff and families.
- Assist in the processing of enrollment, transfer, and termination paperwork of Early Head Start, Head Start, and Child Care Partnership center children.
- Assist in the recruitment and enrollment of Early Head Start and Child Care Partnership children throughout the year.
- Assist and empower families to locate resources and schedule appointments with community resources that best meet their needs.
- Monitor children's attendance and provide support services to the teacher and families as needed.
- Actively engage in team collaboration meetings.
- Enhance job growth through training and education.
- Use a strength-based approach to empower the family, support systems and resources.

Requirements
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Minimum:
An associate's degree in a related field or high school diploma/GED - Preferred:
Baccalaureate degree - Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) fluent in reading, writing, and speech of the Spanish language.
Prefer two years of case management or early childhood classroom experience.
