Part-Time Child Care​/Preschool Classroom Support

Locations:
Hendersonville, NC and Brevard, NC

Position Description:

• Infant Support from 9:00AM to 1:00pm Monday through Friday. This position assists the teachers in the infant room with children ages 6 weeks to 13 months.

Qualifications:

• Minimum:
  High School Diploma or GED AND NC Early Childhood Credential and have or be working towards a NC Early Childhood Certificate OR have or be working towards an Infant/Toddler Child Development A (CDA) OR equivalent coursework.
• Preferred:
  Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field.

Responsibilities include:

• Engaging in classroom activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the WNCSource Head Start program, building and maintaining a positive, nurturing, and supportive relationship with the children and families.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the classroom and on the playground.
• Assist in providing high-quality supplemental support, responsive caregiving, and educational experiences.

Requirements

What will you need?

Minimum:
High School Diploma/GED and commitment to work towards an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), or Infant Toddler Care Certificate

Preferred:
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education
