Summary:
At UNC Health Pardee, we are committed to delivering whole-person, integrated care that meets patients where they are. This Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician is primarily embedded in the Employee Health setting, serving as a key member of the Pardee@Work clinical team to address behavioral health and wellness needs of our employed teammates and staff in real time. This clinician provides brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions and acute/episodic event support, while also coordinating care and connecting patients to additional resources when longer-term or specialty services are needed.
The clinician in this role will work side-by-side with our clinic's licensed medical providers, nurses, and support staff to facilitate timely access to behavioral health care. The position is well-suited for the clinician who is flexible, collaborative, creative and skilled in providing targeted, solution-focused support in a relaxed and welcoming medical environment.
This is more than a therapy role-it's a unique opportunity to shape how behavioral health and well-being services are delivered in a setting dedicated to employed UNC Health Pardee teammates and staff.
Responsibilities:
* Provide brief, solution-focused interventions for adult patients
* Deliver short-term, evidence-based therapy within the Pardee@Work employee health clinic to patients for whom extended outpatient care is not indicated.
* Provide behavioral health and wellness education to teammates and medical staff
* Engage in purposeful rounding through departments to foster emotional wellness and well-being
* Conduct focused assessments and screenings to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and provider decision-making.
* Collaborate directly with clinic providers and clinical staff to address behavioral health needs as they arise.
* Support patients in managing behavioral health concerns related to chronic conditions, stress, lifestyle changes, and psychosocial challenges.
* Facilitate warm hand-offs and referrals for patients requiring specialty behavioral health or community-based services.
* Participate in clinic quality improvement efforts.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
* Engage in ongoing professional development, maintaining licensure and required continuing education.
