IT Site Manager (Industrial Solutions) – Hendersonville, NC

Job Purpose

We’re building a brand-new state‑of‑the‑art facility dedicated to creating power generation systems for data centers and microgrid applications. This new hub will be the heart of Borg Warner’s latest growth initiative, bringing together engineering, innovation, and technology in one dynamic space. As IT Site Manager, you will serve as the liaison between IT and the business, orienting toward emerging needs and driving digital transformation by leveraging IT to create or modify business processes and customer experiences to meet changing business and market requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise business on how to maximize their investment in IT and identify opportunities for leverage of IT.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, leveraging global and regional IT organizations to address these needs.
  • Stand accountable to the business for overall IT delivery, coordinating other efforts to fulfill tasks.
  • Conduct pre‑project business solution design and prepare project estimates for cost‑benefit analysis.
  • Plan IT budget and monitor IT spend to ensure effective costing and meet Plant and Business Unit IT targets.
  • Work with internal and external IT service providers to develop and negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Communicate and negotiate with business leaders or process owners on deliverables.
  • Direct projects toward desired technology strategies and standards.
  • Report back to business and IT on project status and IT performance using scorecards.
  • Identify opportunities for business operational efficiency, driving metrics for cost saving and value realization.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • Business analytical skills confirmed by working experience; preferred in the Automotive industry and SAP ERP.
  • Experience in manufacturing (Industrial/Data Center/Power Generation/Automotive) processes.
  • Experience in digital manufacturing (IoT, Industry 4.0, RPA) is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including training and presentation experience.
  • Experience in systems analysis and problem solving.
  • Proficient written and spoken English.
  • IT projects management experience (Scrum, Agile) is a plus.
  • Strong customer management skills and ability to understand and translate complex business requirements.
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and work harmoniously as part of a team.
  • Ability to work directly with middle‑to‑senior management as well as employees at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities.

Salary

Salary Range: $125,600 – $172,700.
