As the RN Wound Care Nurse, you will play a critical role in improving healing outcomes, maintaining skin integrity, and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Your responsibilities include:
Assessing, monitoring, and documenting wounds, pressure injuries, and skin conditions
Developing and implementing individualized wound care treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
Performing wound treatments according to physician orders and evidence-based clinical practices
Monitoring residents for changes in condition and communicating updates promptly to providers and nursing leadership
Educating and mentoring nursing staff on wound prevention, skin integrity, infection prevention, and proper documentation
Participating in care plan meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and survey preparedness
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations
Collaborating with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes
Active, unrestricted North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License
Wound Care experience preferred
Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience strongly preferred
Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Knowledge of wound care best practices, infection prevention, and skin integrity management
