Job Description: Position: RN – Labor & Delivery Setting:
Hospital – Labor & Delivery

Openings: 1

Schedule:

• 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holidays
• Client interview required

Overview:

• Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery nursing care utilizing the nursing process
• Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing throughout labor and delivery
• Administer medications and assess for obstetric complications
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide patient education and emotional support before, during, and after delivery
• Care for mothers throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery

Additional Details:

• Charting: EPIC
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holidays
• Interview process is very quick once under review
• Candidates are often contacted via phone or text to schedule interviews
• Cancellation policy:
  Travelers may be canceled once every 6 weeks
• Timekeeping:
  Kronos
• Start date feedback is typically received quickly following interview

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS Certification
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• Acute care/inpatient nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to coordinate care in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Computer proficiency required
• Must meet all applicable federal, state, and facility requirements
• ACLS may be required depending on unit needs
