LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Coordinator to join our client's team in Rutherford County, TN! The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This role ensures that employees are paid accurately and on time, while supporting payroll compliance and reporting across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for all employees with a high degree of accuracy
  • Review and audit timekeeping records, including PTO, overtime, and adjustments
  • Maintain employee payroll files and ensure updated tax forms, deductions, and direct deposit information
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide timely, professional support
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Verify and reconcile payroll data, including earnings, taxes, deductions, and benefit contributions
  • Assist with year-end payroll functions including W-2 processing and audits
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws, including Tennessee-specific requirements
  • Support HR and Finance teams with special projects and reporting needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive payroll information
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of payroll experience (multi-state payroll a plus)
  • Working knowledge of payroll practices, wage laws, and tax regulations
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, UKG, Paylocity)
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with data entry and reconciliation
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
