Position: Simulation Skills Laboratory Coordinator (Main Campus), College of Nursing

The ETU College of Nursing invites applications for a full‑time Simulation Skills Laboratory Coordinator.

The Simulation Skills Laboratory Coordinator provides support to faculty and students through the coordination and organization of the activities and resources of the nursing simulation skills laboratories. This role also manages space, equipment, supplies and budget. The position maintains schedules for the practice laboratories, Graduate Assistants (GAs), Tuition Scholars (TSs), and Student Workers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of standard office computer software.
  • Knowledge and ability in current nursing care, nursing procedures and related technology.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Knowledge of technologies used for simulation/lab including: electrical/technical AV, virtual reality, manikins, and other technologies used for simulation/lab activities.
  • Knowledge of current simulation standards for best practice as defined by nationally recognized organizations such as INACSL, SSiH and others.
  • Knowledge of current healthcare practices, including current technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and produce reports.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including potential for some weekend days.
  • Ability to travel.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in nursing or a related field (healthcare, education, engineering, bioengineering, information technology, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • One (1) year of experience in healthcare simulation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field (healthcare, education, engineering, bioengineering, information technology, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in healthcare simulation.
  • Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) and/or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification.
  • Experience in a clinical or educational setting, preferably nursing or medical education.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and simulation software.
