Pay Range: $129,655 - $155,586

YOUR ROLE

The Senior Automation Implementation Engineer is responsible for the integration, deployment, commissioning, and optimization of automated fulfillment solutions in new Distribution Centers. The role requires hands‑on implementation, collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and technical problem‑solving to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client specifications.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Lead the installation, configuration, testing, validation, and commissioning of automated fulfillment systems, including AS/RS, Goods‑to‑Person (GTP), AMRs, Cobots, conveyors, and sortation systems.

Collaborate closely with the Automation Implementation Manager, Solutions Design, and external vendors to interpret designs and ensure successful implementation.

Conduct system validation and testing to ensure solutions meet performance criteria, safety standards, and operational requirements.

Provide technical expertise during integration with warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and warehouse execution systems (WES).

Participate in cross‑functional project meetings, offering technical input to align systems with project timelines and deliverables.

Identify and troubleshoot system issues during implementation and commissioning, working with internal teams and vendors to implement corrective actions.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing system optimizations to improve efficiency, throughput, and reliability.

Document system configurations, changes, and test results to ensure compliance with project documentation standards and facilitate future maintenance.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and distribution, with at least 5 years working directly with automation systems such as AS/RS, GTP, AMRs, Cobots.
Proven experience in deploying and commissioning automated fulfillment solutions.
Desirable:
Experience in third‑party logistics, omnichannel fulfillment, or e‑commerce fulfillment solutions.

Specialist Knowledge & Skills

In‑depth knowledge of automation systems, including hardware and software integration.
Experience with WMS, WCS, WES, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
Strong technical problem‑solving skills.

Interpersonal & Communication Skills

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
