Job duties:
Engineer, optimize, and troubleshoot improve Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing processes for production lines for automotive lighting systems products including LED boards for head/tail/grille lamps, LED Driver Modules, Light Carpet Projectors, and Light Control Units in Hendersonville Plant, to enable high-density, compact circuit designs and automate placement/soldering of electronic components directly onto Printed Circuit Board (PCB) surfaces including high-speed and precise mounting of LED chips, and improve equipment availability, process yield, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Analyze and improve OEE, Mean Time To Repair/Between Failures metrics applying Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design For Manufacturing (DFM), and Ishikawa Diagram tools. Profile reflow oven and selective solder thermal processes per IPC A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
Education:
Bachelor, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems and Automation Engineering, or related.
Experience:
Twelve months' experience as Engineer, engineering and troubleshooting Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing processes for production lines for automotive or commercial products, to enable high-density circuit designs and automate placement of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Board (PCB) surfaces including mounting of LED chips, or related.
