ScheduleMay be either five 8‑hour shifts or four 10‑hour shifts, with shifts on Monday‑Friday, Tuesday‑Saturday, or four consecutive days. Occasional Sunday work and work past 40 hours per week may be required.
Position SummaryAldevra is seeking a Senior Construction Representative with a background in industrial construction, welding, machining, and/or complex field inspection services to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers by performing Construction Management Services for the Old Hickory Turbine Generator Rehabilitation project. The contract is valued at approximately $90 M. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of construction industry experience, OSHA 30 certification, and proven ability to perform quality assurance inspections, review contractor quality control documentation, prepare daily Quality Assurance Reports, and use USACE Resident Management System.

- Perform field construction inspection services for the Old Hickory Turbine Generator Rehabilitation project.
- Conduct on‑site quality assurance inspections of ongoing construction activities.
- Independently inspect complex industrial construction activities, including welding, machining, electrical, equipment installation, and related work.
- Verify contractor work complies with approved plans, specifications, schedules, safety regulations, and contract requirements.
- Inspect materials, installation, testing, and completed work for contract compliance.
- Review contractor daily quality control reports for accuracy, completeness, deficiencies, and proper documentation.
- Perform and document surveillance of the contractor’s Quality Control Program, including the USACE Three‑Phase Quality Control System.
- Attend preparatory and initial quality assurance inspections.
- Prepare and provide daily Quality Assurance Report (QAR) input through the USACE Resident Management System (RMS), documenting deficiencies and follow‑up actions.
- Verify site layout, locations, elevations, and quality control requirements before work begins.
- Track deficiencies, field issues, requests for information (RFIs), and corrective actions.
- Monitor contractor deficiency tracking procedures to ensure corrective actions are documented and completed.
- Participate in technical reviews, construction conferences, quality control meetings, progress meetings, and other project‑related meetings.
- Participate in Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) discussions and safety-related reviews.
- Participate in progress payment reviews for completed contractor work.
- Review complex submittals and provide comments or recommendations.
- Participate in risk management discussions for critical construction lifts and other high‑risk activities.
- Review contractor as‑built drawings to ensure they are accurate, current, and complete.
- Maintain working knowledge of EM 385‑1‑1 and OSHA construction safety requirements.
- Prepare and sign daily reports documenting contractor progress and work performed.
- Provide recommendations to the COR and ACO regarding acceptance or rejection of ongoing and completed work.
- Conduct labor standard interviews and review contractor payrolls for compliance with contract labor requirements.
- Inspect inventories of installed property to verify compliance with contract documents.
- Attend project safety meetings as required.
- Maintain organized project files, including correspondence, meeting minutes, submittals, inspection reports, progress reports, punch lists, contract documents, amendments, modifications, and notices to proceed.
