Technician- Hoehn Audi Carlsbad

• Are you already a seasoned technician? Even better! We are looking for experience as well. But mostly the right fit.
• Must have the desire to utilize and stay current with new technology in the vehicle and our state of the art facility. Need not worry we do provide iPads.
• Technical aptitude displayed by ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Must have manual dexterity, good judgment and ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely and efficiently.
• Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle legally in the state of California.
• Clear criminal background.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs proper repairs.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with service writer immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Properly documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Participates in manufacturer and dealer training programs, achieving certification levels as directed by management.
• Communicates with customers when requested.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Must keep shop area neat and clean.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Maintains professional appearance.

Pay Scale Information: $60,000 to $170,000 is the expected total annual earnings after factoring in all forms of compensation, including hourly pay, bonuses, overtime, benefits (vacation and sick), etc. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $32/hr.

-$40/hr bonuses range from $10,000 to $75,000 per year based on performance.
