Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop, validate, and execute analytical methods to support drug substance and drug product programs. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our analyses, maintaining compliance with GMP/GLP requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop, validate, and execute analytical methods using HPLC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, ICP‑MS, ELISA, and MSD.
- Perform sample analysis for small and/or large molecules across multiple phases of development under regulatory timelines.
- Independently author, review, and execute SOPs, methods, validation protocols, and final client reports.
- Review raw data critically for accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on analytical instrumentation.
- Coordinate consumables, reagents, and equipment needs to meet client timelines and project budgets.
- Ensure laboratory readiness, safety, and inspection preparedness for regulatory and client audits.
- Stay current with advancements in analytical chemistry and contribute to continuous improvement and technology adoption.
- 3+ years of experience in a GMP and/or GLP environment.
- Expertise in analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong working knowledge of chromatographic and bioanalytical techniques.
- Proficiency with analytical data systems (e.g., Agilent Chem Station, Open Lab).
- Ability to manage multiple client projects and shifting priorities.
- Excellent technical writing and data interpretation skills.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
- High level of independence and attention to detail.
Skills & Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemistry or related scientific field (advanced degree preferred).
- CRO experience is strongly preferred.
- Sciex LC/MS/MS experience is preferred.
- Accountability for data quality and timelines.
The position is onsite in Hercules, requiring attendance five days a week during normal business hours. Some weekend work may be required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hercules, CA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.28 - $43.26/hr.
