Accounting & Administrative Manager

Reinert Hay & Commodities seeks an Accounting & Administrative Manager to oversee daily accounting, office operations, and support our agricultural trading and logistics activities. This role manages AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, and month-end close, prepares financial reports, and partners with leadership on budgeting and cost tracking. You will supervise administrative workflows, maintain accurate commodity, freight, and inventory records, and coordinate closely with logistics and sales teams.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and a hands-on, team-focused approach in a fast-moving agricultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and support budgeting
• Oversee payroll processing and related compliance documentation
• Maintain accurate records for commodity purchases, sales, freight, and inventory
• Develop and maintain office procedures, records, and administrative systems
• Support internal controls and assist with audits and external reviews
• Coordinate with logistics and sales teams on billing, contracts, and documentation
• Supervise and mentor administrative staff, ensuring efficient workflow
• Monitor cash flow, customer credit, and vendor terms
• Support leadership with financial analysis and operational decision-making
