Job Title: #2 Quality Assurance 2nd SHIFT

Location: Hereford

Monitors plant operations of compliance with regulatory and company requirements in the Harvest Department. QA will be responsible for paperwork assigned by the supervisor. Tech will monitor the area from pre-wash up until the gut table, ensuring that tags are in place where required (black, red, yellow tags). At each break the tech will change out SRM sterilizers and ensure that any contact area is cleaned.

The tech will also check equipment after each break and act as liaison to USDA regulators.

• Perform environmental sampling of equipment, drains, and raw and finished products.
• Calibrate thermometers and scales on a daily basis.
• Monitor sanitation standard operating procedures and document SSOPs in accordance with the company’s program.
• Monitor and document the quality of packaging, raw materials, and finished products.
• Detect and reject foreign material.
• Track and record weights of finished products.
• Take raw and finished product temperatures.
• Monitor physical, chemical, and sensory characteristics of raw and finished products.
• Generate and complete the required records and documentation daily for each product line in accordance with customer specifications.
• Perform HACCP monitoring and verification for all critical control points of the company’s HACCP programs.
• Work alongside USDA and production employees.
• Ensure food security and safety.

• H.S. diploma.
• Good work history – QA experience in food processing a plus.
• Basic math and computer skills and ability to read and analyze process charts, graphs, and logs.
• Strong analytical and logical problem‑solving skills.
• HACCP certified (A Plus) or ability to become HACCP certified.
