Job Overview

The Pillars of Hermantown is Ebenezer's newest managed senior living community in northern Minnesota, near Duluth. It offers Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care with 105 apartments. The Pillars creates purposeful lifestyles for seniors with dedicated staff to meet their needs and help them heal, discover, and live longer healthier, more significant lives.

• 48 hours every two‑week pay period
• Night shift with $2/hour shift differential
• Every other weekend rotation

• Personal Care:
  • Bathing/showering
  • Foot and fingernail care
  • Shaving
  • Dressing
  • Assistance with hearing aids and/or glasses
  • Hair care
  • Feeding
  • Toileting
  • Escorts
  • 1–2 person transfers using a mechanical lift
• Health‑Related Services (as directed):
  • Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the registered nurse (includes blood glucose monitoring)
  • Administers medication or assists under the registered nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
  • Performs specified home services: laundry, cleaning schedule, meal tray delivery, meal service assistance.
  • Provides social/recreational assistance as assigned.
  • Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
  • Notifies staff of changes in physical or emotional conditions.
  • Acts as a mandated reporter and reports concerns of potential mistreatment.
  • Offers pertinent observations and input.
  • Responds to resident and building emergencies.

• Less than 1 year of experience
• Ability to use technology: computers, handheld devices, cell phones, fax machines
• If under 18, must be on the MN NA registry

• 1–3 years of experience
