Position: Dental Hygienist* - Arrow Dental (Hermiston)
At Arrow Dental, LLC, we're passionate about helping you on your journey to be better. We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to work full time at our Dental Clinic in Hermiston. This position will promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning and periodontal maintenance; provides oral cancer screenings; takes radiographs; charts existing conditions, decay and disease; performs procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.
Arrow Dental is currently offering a sign on bonus of $7,500 for this position.
Arrow Dental is an Oregon-based dental care organization that offers routine care, restorative therapy and other specialty services to Medicaid and private insurance members throughout the state of Oregon.
Clinic hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am-5:30pm.

Pay Range:
$48.96 to $61.20 per hour (depending on experience). Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Prepare treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocolsPrepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing and seating patientProvides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requestsMaintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatmentSelects materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral healthCompletes dental prophylaxis and periodontal scaling and root planning as appropriateCompletes periodontal charting and takes radiographsApplies fluoride and other cavity-preventing agents as necessaryMaintains patient appearance and ability to masticate by cleaning and polishing removable appliancesHelps dentist manage dental and medical emergenciesEducates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructionsDocuments dental hygiene services by recording vital sign and medical and dental histories; charting in patient recordsMaintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidentialMaintains safe and clean working environment; complies with procedures, rules, and regulationsAdheres to infection‑control policies and protocolsEnsures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follows manufacturer’s instructions; maintains equipment inventoriesMaintains hygiene supplies inventory; places orders for supplies; verifies receipt of suppliesConserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publicationsOther duties as assignedPrepare treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocolsArrow Dental seeks to allow equal employment opportunities for all qualified persons without regard to race, religion, color, age, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status or any other status protected by law.
