Job Description

Hermiston School District is seeking a full‑time TOSA‑Dean of Students. The successful candidate will be properly licensed or have the ability to obtain licensure prior to the start of the school year, and possess the ability to serve as the Dean of Students. Position begins August 2026. The TOSA Dean of Students will work and be paid for 10 additional days above the normal 193‑day teacher work year contract.

• Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience with increasing levels of responsibility in a school setting, elementary preferred
• Valid licensure through Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC)
• Working knowledge of discipline procedures, education code, district policies
• Excellent command of oral and written English language
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on‑the‑job travel
• Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures or backgrounds
• Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, and district patrons

• Interest in pursuing school administration and ideally has started coursework

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Full‑year contract consists of 193 days, which includes 3 paid holidays. The TOSA Dean of Students will be paid for 10 additional days above the normal contract. Salary range is $50,849 to $101,497 per year. Benefits include PERS retirement, tuition reimbursement, and a comprehensive health and benefits package.
