Job DescriptionFull-time Special Education Resource Room teaching position at Hermiston High School, grades 9‑12. The successful candidate(s) will be properly licensed or have the ability to obtain licensure, and possess the ability to teach in a high school‑level Special Education classroom. Position begins August 2026.
Special Education model
The Special Education model in the Hermiston School District focuses on the strengths of the individuals. Facilitators handle organization and paperwork, writing the IEPs. Teachers focus on instruction and working with students. Teachers attend IEP meetings and provide input, but do not write IEPs. School Psychologists, Speech‑Language Pathologists, and Bilingual Secretaries also support the IEP process. The district intends to place teachers in classrooms to positively impact students.

2026‑2027 Salary
Schedule:
$50,849 – $101,497 per year.
