Amazon Data Services – part of AWS Infrastructure Services – designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction and critical infrastructure improvement projects within operational data centers worldwide. We are seeking an energetic Data Center Project Manager to serve as a technical resource and project lead across electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines.
The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for project oversight, review of all disciplines, and ensuring consistent delivery of specific projects with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, designing and deploying innovative solutions, and coordinating the improvement of electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production
- Experience in MS Excel, Word, Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
- 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains
- Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations with deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure
Base salary range: – USD annually (USA, OR, Hermiston).
