Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting all AWS data centers and their power, cooling, and networking equipment to ensure continuous access for customers.
You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, and operations managers to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost.
Key Responsibilities- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions that add infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and increase sustainability.
- Prepare and review short circuit coordination studies and maintain software models to match as-built site conditions.
- Perform design and equipment submittal reviews for data centers in your region.
- Interface with internal and external data center design engineering teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety teams, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Act as a technical subject‑matter expert for your discipline during new remediation projects.
- Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Professional Engineer license.
- Experience with building codes and regional regulations.
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
- Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver projects.
- Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related field.

The base salary range for this position is – USD annually (USA, OR, Hermiston). Your compensation package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final amounts determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
