The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing across various specialties including microbiology, chemistry, hematology, serology, blood bank, and more. The MLS ensures compliance with laboratory regulations, confirms and verifies test results, and provides technical guidance to students and staff in the laboratory setting.

• Conduct clinical laboratory tests in various specialties.
• Maintain logs, records, and documentation as required by governing agencies.
• Confirm, verify, and interpret laboratory results.
• Provide instruction and technical support to students, interns, and staff.
• Ensure the adequacy of specimens and request rechecks if necessary.
• Participate in policy reviews and perform special tasks as assigned.
• Support the hospital’s mission and maintain effective communication.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited medical laboratory science program.
• Certification: MLS (ASCP), AMT, AAB, or equivalent certification is required.
• Experience:
  
  Preferably at least one year of clinical or hospital laboratory experience.

This is a 13-week contract position.
