Surgical Tech – Full Time (1.0 FTE)
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 06:30 – 15:00
Compensation:
Surgical Tech I $28.41 – $47.56/hour, Surgical Tech II $30.10 – $50.40/hour, Surgical Tech III $31.01 – $51.92/hour (Step 1 – 20). Includes shift differential.

Facilitates operative procedures by preparing and providing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.
Responsibilities- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Function as a scrub person during operative and invasive procedures.
- Assemble supplies and equipment required for the procedure.
- Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments.
- Perform accounting procedures in concert with the RN circulator.
- Assist with placement of sterile drapes.
- Provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure.
- Maintain an organized sterile field and ensure sterility of the field.
- Prepare sterile dressings.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
- Assist with post‑procedure cleaning of the operative room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to scrub person activities.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
- Support the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the position.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education:
Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program. - Licenses/ certifications/ registrations: BLS required;
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred. - Experience: 3 years of scrub experience preferred.
The position requires sufficient auditory ability to detect and respond to various sounds, visual acuity necessary for observing patient conditions, tactile perception, motor coordination, and the ability to lift to 50 pounds independently and perform frequent pushing, pulling, carrying, or repositioning of objects or patients weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and walking and standing are typically continuous throughout the shift.
WorkingConditions
Position performed primarily in an indoor healthcare environment. Exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and medical equipment. Fast‑paced and unpredictable work environment requiring quick response to changing circumstances. Multiple simultaneous demands and varying noise levels due to medical equipment, staff activity, and patient needs.
