Overview
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse needed for a travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Specialty:
Interventional Radiology.
Start date:
June 22, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,824–$2,965 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 5x8 days. Setting:
Critical Access Hospital. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

- Administer medications as ordered, including anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, contrast, and emergency drugs.
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with interventional procedures; act as patient advocate and anticipate needs of the interventionalist.
- Monitor for complications (e.g., arrhythmia, bleeding, reaction to contrast) and respond rapidly.
- Manage contrast allergies collaboratively with Rad Tech and physicians; participate in pre-procedure planning and ensure allergy considerations are communicated during timeouts.
- Support with moderate sedation when assigned, monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, oxygenation, and level of consciousness; intervene for complications per protocol.
- Function as scrub and/or monitor staff as assigned; prepare sterile instruments, organize trays, anticipate physician needs, document procedural details, and assist with vascular access management.
- Perform peri-procedure tasks such as patient prep, positioning, equipment setup, and post-procedure room turnover; verify allergies, NPO status, and renal function as part of the clinical care plan.
- Assist with device management, documentation of devices and contrast used, and accurate communication of real-time findings to the procedural team.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; evidence of continuing education. - Licenses/Certifications:
Current RN license in Oregon; current BLS and ACLS certification; certifications specific to clinical specialty (e.g., RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale) preferred; IV certification. - Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or IR. Desired: at least 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab; conscious sedation training; monitor role experience. - Equipment/
Skills:
Ability to perform nursing care in interventional radiology/catheterization settings; ability to work with age‑specific, culturally diverse patient populations. - Other:
On‑call availability for the Interventional Unit as needed; bilingual English‑Spanish preferred.
