Registered Respiratory Therapist

Cares and treats all patients with respiratory cardiac illness. Responsibilities include evidence of continuing education, technical, clerical, and interpersonal skills. Perform all aspects of care for patients with COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease. Perform clinical skills to evaluate patients' physical and mental status. Anticipate patient and staff needs. Be able to multitask. Competent and efficient in group class setting. Proficient in monitoring patients on ventilatory support and for any cardiopulmonary symptoms.

Ability to communicate effectively, problem solve and be team oriented. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory standards, patient safety goals, and other regulatory requirements to integrate this into system design. The employee supports the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education Required:

Graduate of accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.

Licenses/certifications/registrations

Required:

Current Oregon RT License, Current RRT.
