Mammographer - Hermiston, OR

Local Pay: $69.70/hour

Travel Pay: $39.86/hour

Travel Rate (based on 40 hours):
Hourly $39.86, Stipend (Lodging $770.00 + M&I $476.00) = $1,246.00,

Total Comp :$2,680.00

Travel Eligibility:
Candidates must live at least 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details:

Mammographer

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs diagnostic radiography procedures
  • Corroborates a patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
  • Prepares patients for procedures; provides instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
  • Selects and operates radiography equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.
  • Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
  • Immobilizes patients as required for appropriate examination.
  • Determines radiographic technique exposure factors, minimizing exposure to patient and others.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.
  • Verifies informed consent for, and assists a licensed practitioner with, interventional procedures.
  • Practices aseptic techniques as necessary.
  • Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and emotional needs of patients during procedures.
  • In agreement with state statute(s) and/or where institutional policy permits; prepares, identifies, and/or administers contrast media and/or medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
  • The employee supports the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position (reference program education curriculum).
  • Agency nurses will be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care before core staff is floated.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted OR license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
  • Minimum 2 years experience.
  • Bachelor s or an Associates from a Radiologic Technology accredited program.
  • OBMI and ARRT registered Mammography technologist.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • CRASE training:
    If travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period, CRASE training will be required.
  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
