American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab/IR experience and current ARRT RT(R) certification for a clinic-based role supporting vascular and non-vascular fluoroscopic procedures.

Details
  • Clinic setting within Interventional Radiology/Cardiology department
  • Supports diagnostic and interventional procedures including vascular and non-vascular cases, and cardiac catheterization without EP or structural components
  • Utilizes fixed fluoroscopy equipment, portable ultrasound, and IVUS
  • Charts and enters charges in Epic when necessary
  • Schedule is 3x10-hour day shifts, 07:00-17:30
  • May rotate between imaging, scrub, and hemodynamic monitor roles depending on assignment
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required; BS in Radiologic Science/Medical Imaging preferred
  • Current ARRT certification, RT(R), required
  • Current Oregon State licensure issued by OBMI required if applicable
  • Current BLS required; ACLS required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab managing fluoroscopy and scrubbing interventional cases required, 3+ years preferred including experience in the monitor role
  • Certifications specific to clinical specialty (e.g., RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale) preferred
  • Proficiency with vascular anatomy, device sizing, catheter selection, and sterile technique
  • Experience with hemodynamic monitoring systems including ECG and oxygen saturation preferred
  • Bilingual English-Spanish speaking preferred
Additional Information
  • Operates fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging systems, ensuring optimal image quality, positioning, and equipment readiness for each case
  • May function as scrub technologist, preparing sterile instruments, guide wires, catheters, sheaths, and embolic materials while assisting physicians during procedures
  • May function as monitor technologist, recording hemodynamic data, documenting procedural events, contrast usage, and communicating real-time findings to the procedural team
  • Assists with patient preparation, positioning, timeout procedures, and sedation support under nursing and medical staff direction
  • Performs sheath pulls and vascular access management as needed
  • Collaborates with nursing and physicians on contrast allergy management and appropriate contrast agent selection
  • Assists with department supply management, room turnover, equipment checks, and radiation dose tracking in adherence to ALARA principles
  • Reports to the Unit Manager and Surgical Services Director
  • Works with culturally diverse patient populations across all age groups
