Job Summary:

Perform advanced mammography procedures to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct planar and digital mammography imaging in accordance with established protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear instructions to facilitate cooperation and reduce anxiety.
• Position patients accurately to optimize image quality while ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Select appropriate technical parameters and operate mammography equipment effectively.
• Evaluate images for clarity, proper identification, and technical quality, retaking images as needed.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and radiation safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certified as an ARRT registered Mammography Technologist and OBMI licensed.
• Possess current BLS certification.
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mammography preferred.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Adequately perform physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds and positioning patients safely.
