Data Center Technician III, DCC Communities

Description

We are seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to join our team supporting all hardware technology in our data centers. As a DCO Technician, you will serve as the 'boots on the ground' for Infrastructure Operations, maintaining the health and capacity of AWS's fleet of server hosts through hands‑on troubleshooting and repair of commercial‑grade computing hardware and networking equipment.

In this role, your daily responsibilities will include performing diagnostics and repairs for server and network hardware, contributing to site on‑call rotations, providing on‑site assistance for device installations, managing parts inventory, utilizing MyDay to manage your work and priorities, and participating in site‑level project work.

You will work against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow, serving as the first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues, which involves regular server hardware repairs such as drives and motherboards, as well as routine network, server hardware and operating system related repairs.

This work directly contributes to the availability of the AWS service catalogue for external customers.

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• High school or equivalent diploma

• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
