Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services designs, builds, and operates the global AWS infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, networking and related equipment. The Network Deploy Technician III supports large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks, drives stability and sustainability for next‑generation networks, and contributes to automation and scaling initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specify power and cooling requirements and oversee hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
- Participate in migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Provide day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management and support of multiple data center locations.
- Contribute to development of best practices and refinement of operational procedures.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; group lifts of 41+ pounds.
- Operate in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
- Perform bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
Annual travel within and outside the regional work area is required. A reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are necessary.
Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ year of computer networking experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Red Hat), Microsoft hardware installation, AWS or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test‑netconnection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, packet capture tools).
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP.
