NetworkDeploy Technician – Responsibilities
- Scale support of several data center locations and day-to-day capacity management.
- Assist in project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
- Provide management and support of AWS’s network infrastructure, establish best practices, and refine procedures.
- Coordinate with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth projects.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues (patch panels, patch cords).
- Specifying power and cooling requirements and ensuring hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
- Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Physical Requirements (with Reasonable Accommodations)
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in a 24/7 environment, participate in primary responder rotation and after-hours support when needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
- Perform bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
Travel within and outside the regional work area is required. A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are necessary.
Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ year of computer networking experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
